Botox/Dysport

Grand Forks, ND

Aging is a fact of life, but looking your age is not. With many treatments available today to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, wrinkle relaxers have quickly become the #1 aesthetic treatment to date. These products work by limiting the constant muscle contractions that form lines and wrinkles resulting in a more youthful appearance.

FDA-cleared Botox Cosmetic is a minimally invasive cosmetic injectable that softens moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles that develop as we age.

How does a BOTOX® Cosmetic/ Dysport treatment reduce wrinkles?

Are you experiencing pesky lines and wrinkles? Those moderate to severe lines that appear in multiple areas of the face (usually around the mouth, eyes, or forehead) form over time as the result of muscle activity from facial expressions. BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport work to reduce the appearance of those lines. It is injected directly into the muscles between your brows or other areas of concern and blocks the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles; this reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those persistent lines to form.

How long does it take to see results from a treatment?

No two people are the same and results seen from treatment may vary from person to person. Patients with moderate to severe frown lines or lines between the brows may see improvement within the first few days of treatment and full results are expected by two weeks after treatment. For optimal results, it is recommended to receive BOTOX® Cosmetic/ Dysport treatments every 3-4 months.

Is treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport painful?

Most patients report minimal pain with wrinkle relaxing treatment, as the needles used for injection are tiny. If you do feel discomfort it is usually brief. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and many people return directly to work or normal activity following BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.

What happens if I stop my BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport treatments?

If you do not continue treatments, the lines between your brows or areas that received treatment will gradually return to looking like they did before. They will not get worse as a result of having or discontinuing treatment.

Is BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport safe?

Patient safety is our top priority. To get the best results, it is important to go to a practitioner who is experienced in administering BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport. Our medical professionals are MD’s, and RN’s; do not let an unlicensed provider inject you! Our staff have experience and advanced training in administering this treatment and continue their education on a regular basis. We pride ourself on continually attending the top medical aesthetic conferences in the country and training with the industry innovators to bring back the most up to date injection techniques to the Midwest.

Is BOTOX®/Dysport Cosmetic affordable?

When considering your facial aesthetic options, BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport is quite affordable. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s survey, BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport is one of the least expensive facial aesthetic procedures in the United States. Like other appearance-related investments, such as hair coloring and cuts, teeth whitening, and nail care, the cost must be weighed relative to your expectations.

Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?

Although the results are visible, one treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport will not radically alter your facial appearance or make you look as if you “frozen.” The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is simply reduced, so you look more rested, refreshed and youthful.

Who should not use BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport?

BOTOX® Cosmetic/Dysport should not be used in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation. Patients with neurological disorders such as ALS, Myasthenia Gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects. Pregnant or lactating women should not receive Botox Cosmetic.
